so, it has been quite some time since i resurrected this blog from the depths of hell. well can something resurrect twice? i hope so.


i had really great hair yesterday. top notch. but i couldn't get a really good picture of it, but i did get some compliments, so thats good. haha.

ALSO! matt and kim came up on shuffle on my ipod and i forgot how much i loved them. it has been months since i listened to them, so it has been a really great couple of day singing really loud in the car, looking like a crazy. Justin also got his hands on the new Japanther for me, and it is sooo good, really do-wop-y. i like it.

Everyone died this week. I also was missing in action in relation to me and the internet. Justinswan came and we were just hanging. Phone off, computer off. Sometimes it is nice to just give him 1000% of my attention with no technology nagging me. It doesn't look like I missed much anyways haha.

bearbot and business cards

What a lazy day. I slept until like noon, which in lazyland is not that late, but it was difficult to stay asleep seeing as Rocco wanted to wanted to come in my room and wake me up every 45 minutes starting at 8am, so I really did make it far. ha.
So when I got up I went to the backyard and my dad had opened the pool and I am really excited about it, because I will be able to swim after tomorrow after all the shock is safe and stuff! Super exciting. And then while we were out there looking at the pool, our neighbor was like, oh there's a UPS truck here, and I was like "oh shit!" my invitations and my business cards are here. So I ran to the door and it was only my business cards and my rsvp cards, still exciting, the invitations will be here tomorrow! Yay. But yeah.


500 business cards are like, a lot. What am I going to do with all of these? I was talking to Audrey and her Mom last night and we decided that I should just start putting them in those weekly free lunch raffles from restaurants. I mean, why not?

So I have rediscovered this. How exciting for you.
It all started as a project for Design for the Web from Spring 09 semester with Melina. What a disaster that class was. hah. But I was thinking that I could revive this blog because shit, I'm not on enough things on the internet. haha.
So I sit here and think of what I should make this about? I'm unsure. Should it be me rambling about how I'm unemployed or talk about how there is nothing to do in Syracuse? Haha, like I said I am unsure.
Why am I even bringing this thing back? I could just continue to use livejournal or make note updates on facebook. like is anyone going to read this? Do I need it for a personal affirmation, a place to just ramble and give my keyboard some real work? Who knows? Should this blog go back to what it was initially? A place I put links to design things that make me smile? but isn't that what twitter is for? I'm ridiculous.
Oh well. It is what it is I suppose.

after being referred to this great site www.supermarkethq.com from my professor i have stumbled upon some great design finds that you can actually buy! its like etsy but for real designers, score!

this screen-printed calendar series comes from Noa Bembibre, who is based in finland, was being sold in november 2007. Im just in love with the weird phrases that are based around the spelling of the months and it is all achieved with a simple color change. they layout of the days is another simple beauty, it spans two weeks and has a color break on sundays to separate the space and also make it easier to navigate the calendar. The calendars come in a super swanky envelope too!

i was sad to find out it was out of stock, because i am such a type nerd. and it was only 32 bucks! such a steal.

so overall this website is amazing. expect to see more posts of supermarkethq.com finds!

Lodown magazine hails from berlin and is one of the most beautiful culture magazines i have seen in a while.

there are a combination of different paper weights for designated sections and perfect layout. i swear i only found one column that had rivers, the type setting everywhere else is impeccable.

this magazine is the epitome of hip!
